Lighted Nock Review

I decided to try out a set of Clean-Shots lighted nocks this hunting season and thought I would give a little review of what I think.

Pros:

  • I love the fact that each nock comes with three sleeves to allow the correct fit for just about every hunting shaft on the market.

  • The practice mode is a great feature and it’s easy to turn on and off. A simple twist of the metal ring gives you the option to go from practice mode to lighted mode.

  • If you are in lighted mode the nock is simple to turn off, no tools required. You simply pull on the nock until it clicks and the light goes off.

  • The company has great customer service. One of my first nocks broke during installation and they sent me a new one for no charge.

  • The nocks are super bright and easy to follow during the shot.

You can see from the picture here that the Clean-Shot nock is longer than a standard nock. Even though it’s longer I didn’t notice a difference in accuracy or point of impact compared to the standard nocks.

Cons:

  • Some of the metal rings have a little too much play and it can cause a rattling noise. Easy to fix with some bow string wax.

  • The practice mode does not always work. There have been several instances where the light still comes on when shooting them in practice mode.

Overview:

I really like these nocks and will continue to use them for the remainder of the hunting season. They have proven to be durable in the field and light up bright every time I’ve shot them. If you are looking for some lighted nocks, I highly recommend these.
