Swarovski EL 10x42 Binocular Review

Swarovski really makes an amazing binocular. Every time I look through them, I am blown away by how crisp and clear the image is. Below I will list and explain many reasons why they are a simply one the best binoculars ever made, but for you to really understand this you must see it for yourself. I suggest finding a buddy that has a pair and borrow them for an afternoon of bird watching or for a hunt. If you are not lucky enough to have a buddy that has them, you can always go to a Cabela’s and they will have them for you to check out in store. You may not see a huge difference in the store because of how well-lit everything is. You can spot differences though if you really focus on a minute detailed object. Find a mount in the store with dark fir, black bear or moose work great, then focus on the fur. You will see the individual hairs and the way they are laying. Look at the same spot with almost any other binocular and you will have trouble picking out individual hairs. Another options is to rent a pair for a hunt. Once you look through them you will understand why they are so well regarded and recommended.

When I started using the binoculars, I noticed how well they fit my hands. The thumb grooves on the bottom are perfectly placed so that I can fully grip the binoculars with both hands. The focus wheel is easy to use and has a lot of adjustment. The eyecups can be set at several different lengths and the diopter adjustment can be used at any of them. The diopter adjustment is found when you pull out the focus wheel, then you lock it by pushing the focus wheel back forward. It stays locked even if you drop the binoculars. The diopter is also very easy to adjust and has quite a bit of adjustment available. Easy adjustment allows for quickly being able to tell what things are.

The low light performance of the binoculars is amazing. In the early morning at first light, I was easily able to tell the difference between spike bucks and does at 300 yards even before legal shooting light. The lenses are clear from edge to edge allowing for the maximum ability to see. At dusk I have been able to watch turkeys roost and have been able to see what branch they roosted on. The binoculars still had crisp focus in low light allowing for a ton of details even in the low light. During midday the binoculars perform amazingly as well. They really help tell the difference between a brown deer and a brown bush. They have show crisp lines, making it easy to identify objects. You can’t go wrong with a pair of these. If you get some, you won’t regret it.
