Tactacam Solo Camera Review
So I decided to purchase a Tactacam Solo Camera for videoing some of my hunting adventures. So far, it is a great product. It’s easy to use, and has an app for your phone. This allows you to Bluetooth it to your device and review the video footage. You can also watch the live stream while in the stand or ground blind.
I’ve put together a short list of pros, cons, and other takeaways since purchasing and using the product in the field…
Pros
The Tactacam Solo can be used for your bow or crossbow by utilizing the mounting hardware that comes with it. No additional purchases necessary.
It also comes with the appropriate hardware to mount it to your rifle or other firearm.
Reasonably priced, coming in at about $149.99.
The app is compatible with Apple or Android operating systems.
Cons
The battery life is good for about 2 hours, but you can purchase additional batteries if needed. Batteries for this product cost $19.99.
The zoom feature is not the best, however if you upgrade to the 5.0 camera the zoom quality does improve.
Stability is always a concern when it comes to weapon mounted cameras. You have to make sure you are solid on your target, especially if using a compound bow, otherwise you won’t get the best footage of your shot.
Overall, I am very please with the product, and the quality you get for the price. The Tactacam Solo does what I expect of it, and I look forward to utilizing it for seasons to come. Now here’s to hoping I can get a good shot off!
